Well done Brian.

So incredibly charming and romantic, this is a hidden gem! Beautiful and rustic this inn captures the English countryside perfectly.
Great location for walking right from the door. Loved being able to come back to the pub for lovely food and drinks. Innkeepers cottage well fitted out with good facilities. Staff were very helpful and accommodating even though they were very busy. Breakfast was great. Evening meals were delicious with a great selection at a reasonable price. Lovely dining room and outside seating.
Lovely historic inn in a beatuiful location by the river. Staff were young and enthusiastic, very helpful. The room was recently redocrated/fitted out. Small and quite basis but very clean and comfortable. Great for a single traveller. Inns in pubs can often be noisy, particularly on a Friday night but this wasn't. I ate one of their speciality burgers for dinner. Breakfast was quite tasty with a range of cooked dishes.
The room had excellent facilities and was very clean. Large comfortable beds, well-stocked mini bar and snacks. The room was not air conditioned as may be expected in an historic inn, yet a fan was provided in the room to keep us cool on a warm summer's day/evening. Breakfast was also good.
The White Star Tavern is truly exceptional! A piece of history with very nicely finished rooms, quiet and cozy bar and dinning areas, an outstanding staff, reasonably priced, and every major attraction in Southampton is a short walk away. The front desk was welcoming and offered to help with bags, local info, taxi reservations, etc.. The food was great , and the dinning staff were incredibly attentive. It’s a no brainer.., stay at The White Star Tavern if you are in Southampton!
This is a historic inn with lovely quiet rooms attached. Our beds were comfy and the bathroom was good with a nice shower. The outlook is pleasant and the village a delight. It has a restaurant with a decent menu. The drink selection was superb. Whilst some of the staff were evidently new they were enthusiastic and helpful. Breakfast was very tasty and locally sourced. The location is very handy for Burghley House and Stamford
Trevor was a charming attentive host, the property and location were picturesque and tastefully renovated, the rooms were very comfy, a short walk to a charming pub for dinner and an excellent breakfast at the guest house. We would certainly book again.
Rooms were a great size and easy to access and the bed was super comfy. Shared bathroom was clean, shower was easy to use. Staff were amazing and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. The Tavern is partnered with two other pubs where you get a discount on dinner.
Lovely rustic shabby chic historic inn, located in a picturesque village looking up at the North Downs. Staff very enthusiastic, attentive and helpful. The restaurant was excellent and the chef's innovative and original dishes were worth the trip. Make sure you dine there, although you might want to avoid some of the noisier tables with happy diners having a fun time. Room was large and comfortable with view of the church and the bus stop for Staines.
