Rooms were spacious, food very good and staff so friendly. It is one of the few places we have stayed in recent times that provided a non-slip mat for the shower alcove - most are downright dangerous but this was really good in that regard. Set in open and pretty Yorkshire countryside, the place has obviously been improved progressively in recent times. Highly recommended.

A 15-minute drive from Huddersfield, this traditional pub offers à la carte dining and a range of real ales. It is situated in the heart of Thustonland village, and offers free Wi-Fi. Very comfortable village pub. Well prepared pub food, very friendly staff. Also, I had a sudden medical issue and the landlord bent over backwards to get me a doctor appointment- and then called later to be sure I was ok. First class, much appreciated. We’ll be back.

Our welcome to this warm and inviting Inn was wonderful. Staff are just lovely. Our dinner, and included breakfast, was delicious.The size of the poached eggs were huge, apparently “the Rolls Royce of eggs” and I’d believe it! The big, fluffy white bath towels were a bonus too😊We couldn’t fault our stay. Thank you Mark and co you’re doing a great job of looking after weary travellers.

Lovely log fires, excellent service, very welcoming and great staff - nothing too much trouble. Food was fantastic, £27 for two courses - we had turkey dinner and Christmas pudding which was so nice. We had The Big Splash room which was very big, spotlessly clean with a huge walk in shower and roll top bath in the room.
