The price–quality ratio is honestly one of the best I’ve ever experienced. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and on my last day, Kami even prepared some homemade onigiri for me to take for lunch, they were so tasty and such a thoughtful gesture. I truly felt cared for throughout my stay. This was the best place I stayed at in Japan, and when I return to Amami, I will definitely come back here.

I really enjoyed this place. The bed was comfortable and warm. The house had everything I needed. The owner was very attentive and the place was clean. I loved that they had bicycles for me to ride to the convenience store. It was a short walk to the beach. It was peaceful and surrounded by nature. I loved it so much. If I have the chance, I will definitely stay here again.

From the moment we arrived, Manami-chan went the extra mile and made our stay truly memorable. Her home is uniquely attached to her family’s temple, which she lovingly cares for, and the atmosphere reflects her warm, gentle spirit. The decor is impeccable—calm, cozy, and soothing—so it feels like the house itself is Manami: thoughtful and kind. Every detail has been considered: a comfortable tatami bedroom with soft, plush mattress and linens, a full kitchen, washer & dryer, and even a little mini-spa corner to unwind. There are two toilets (a rare convenience in Japan) and the location is great for exploring. Manami helped us rent e-bikes and gave us wonderful day-trip plans and cultural insights we would never have discovered on our own. Staying here felt like touching the true spirit of old Japan while enjoying modern comforts. For us, it was a dream place. If you value kindness, authenticity, and quiet beauty, book Oteragoto—you’ll feel Manami’s heart in every corner. She truly deserves all the guests who will love this place as much as we did. 10/10. The natural beauty of the area was amazing and well highlighted by the building itself. Great location to access beaches, hiking trails and some nearby waterfalls and onsen. The owners/hosts were very kind and helpful! The breakfasts provided were excellent though other food options are all a short drive away.

Open from May 2021, the Comfort Inn Fukuoka Tenjin is located 300 metres from Inter Media Station IMS Building. Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station and Nakasu are 4 minutes on foot from the property. Hotellet ligger virkeligt godt. Man kan komme nemt dertil med en bus eller metro. Begge stoppe meget tæt på hotellet. Vi boede på 10 etage med udsigt over byen. Det var perfekt. Vores værelse var 16 kvm og havde en god størrelse. Man skal være opmærksom på at morgenmaden serveres på en café i den samme bygning. Her kan man vælge i mellem 5 menuer. Så hvis man godt kan lide en god morgenmadsbuffet med mange valgmuligheder, skal man bo et andet sted.

Sea-Dweller ligger i Miyazaki, 1,4 km fra Aoshima Shrine, og har en have, en terrasse og en bar samt gratis privat parkering. Overnatningsstedet ligger ca. It's located near Aoshima beach (about 20min walk to Aoshima shrine). Also 7/11 between guest house and the beach. There's free shuttle from Miyazaki airport to the guest house if you request. The guest house owner is very kind and all the facilities within guest house are also excellent.

Hotel Karakonosato 唐比の里 ligger i Isahaya, 27 km fra Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture og 28 km fra Nagasaki Station. Kind of an odd place, looks like it was super luxurious a few decades ago, but it's holding its undeniable charm of its kind. It's a remote place with a rare bus service that needs 20 minutes walking to the bus stop. Staff though is among the most friendly and helpful I have ever come across all over the world. Breakfast delivered every morning at your doorstep at the time you requested the previous evening. Dinner is better than you'd expect. Highly recommend!
