I had a truly wonderful stay at this apartment. It's perfectly located in the heart of Ghent, yet slightly away from the busy streets, which made my time there especially peaceful and relaxing. The host was exceptionally kind and attentive—he welcomed me personally and explained everything in detail. I stayed in the Marrakech apartment, which is full of charm and personality. Every corner is thoughtfully designed, and you can feel the love and care put into every little detail. The apartment had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, including a lovely selection of teas in the kitchen. The beds were very comfortable, and the spacious rain shower was a great bonus. Thank you so much for the warm hospitality! These authentic and beautifully designed apartments in the magical city of Ghent will stay in my heart for a long time.

This is by far the most beautiful and well appointed bed and breakfast we have stayed in. Ann, Lynn and Steven are very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Freddie the dog is also great fun, and we are not dog people!! The breakfasts are fresh and very well presented. We agreed the time of the breakfast the night before. The food was excellent - and catered for our requirements. The location is very quiet and private. Beautiful garden, good location to pop into Gent. All round a gem.

A great place to spend a hideaway weekend

I loved literally everything of our staying. The place is amazing with a beautiful well cared garden outside where it is possible to relax and enjoy nature on very comfy deck chairs. Our room was spacious and perfectly clean, equipped with every comfort. The breakfast was beyond our expactations, rich and delicious, basically a full meal with cheese, mixed cold cuts, salmon, croissants, bread, fresh fruits, yogurt, jam, orange juice, eggs, fresh fruit smoothie and more. The place is around 500m far from the train station from which it's very easy and quick to reach Gent and Brugge. Cherry on top of the pie is the warm welcome recieived from Sam and his cat. He made us feel at home and regret staying only one night. Definitely the best Host we met in Belgium, he keeps building and enriching his little gem place with passion and dedication, giving to his guests a great experience. Very much recommended, we will come back for sure for a longer stay.

The apartment itself was spacious and impeccably maintained, featuring two cozy bedrooms and a well-equipped kitchenette. The highlight, however, was the private terrace overlooking a serene garden—ideal for morning coffees and evening relaxation. What truly set this place apart were the luxurious amenities. The outdoor swimming pool and the sauna provided a spa-like experience right at our doorstep. After days spent exploring nearby Ghent and Bruges, these facilities were a welcome indulgence. Speaking of location, La Maison de Nikolas is perfectly situated. Just a short drive from the historic cities of Ghent and Bruges, we found it easy to immerse ourselves in Belgian culture and cuisine before retreating to our peaceful haven. The electric bikes enabled us to explore the green neighbourhood as well. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming, ensuring our stay was comfortable and memorable. Their attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction did not go unnoticed. In summary, La Maison de Nikolas offered a delightful contrast to city life—a place where one can unwind, recharge, and appreciate the simple pleasures of the countryside. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a serene getaway with easy access to Belgium's cultural gems.

Everything was just perfect, the location, the apartment with the private sauna and jacuzzi, the breakfast, provided in the room every morning and especially the kindness of the owners. Definitely recommended.
