Fantastic value. Not much happening in the town, but the penzion is perfectly located for anything that is, as well as close to the very limited food and pub offerings in the city. Train station is just a 15 minute walk as well, bus station about 5 minutes. Room was nicely sized and pleasant. Not many windows, but kept the room quiet. Bathroom clean and modern, bed firm and comfortable with excellent quality blankets and pillows. Nice work desk provided as well, and also tea etc. Breakfast room right nearby. Castle was beautifully lit up when I arrived. Small difficulty finding the kiosk for the key lockers, (in the second courtyard in the rear, not the first in the front), but after that everything was beautifully done and made good sense. Excellent modern elevator available for rooms on the upper floors. Overall a great room and location, and a fantastic value. Local restaurant "Fresca" was a also wonderful find, and highly recommended.

Everything perfect. Great comfort, staff, food. Guy at the reception very polite and helpful. Same for the staff at the restaurant. Great. I really like the fact that I could black out the room with the outer blinds and curtains. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed.

During my recent business trip, we had the opportunity to spend a night at this delightful chalet. The owner met us on the property and we can say he had done a remarkable job renovating this property into its current form. Our chalet was spacious, clean and cozy. We had a good night sleep and we were even able to enjoy some of the facilities, such as sauna. Also, the owner recommended us restaurants with great food in the nearby village.

Lovely clean and friendly hotel at the edge of Frenstat. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The room was comfortable. The bathroom had nice toiletries. A nice breakfast selection was very good. It was an easy walk into the town square and the museum. There are hiking trails behind the hotel.

The hotel is very picturesque and is located beneath the Stary Jicin castle. The room and bathroom were large, comfortable, and well-equipped; the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant in the cellar maintains the atmosphere of a hunting medieval lodge and the kitchen is excellent; we had breakfast and dinner , but not lunch. We parked our car in their private locked parking lot. All the personnel - the owner, restaurant and hotel staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. We have stayed in this hotel twice - once 10 years ago and now. We returned because our memory of our first stay was also excellent.
