The Northern Lights Village was simply incredible. The aurora cabins were perfect, very clean and modern. We were lucky enough to be able to watch the stars and the Northern Lights from bed one evening. We even had Rituals products in the bathroom! The restaurant and bar was a great communal space and we couldn’t fault the food at all, every dish was fantastic with plenty of choice. A massive thank you to all the staff who were very helpful, welcoming and made our stay so memorable!

Absolutely loved our stay here, the loveliest, cosiest lodge vibe we were hoping for, great location, equipped with everything you need if you want to cook, we went as a group of 4 and had the best time, will definitely come back again!

The cabin was beautiful, spacious (probably wouldn’t want more than 3 staying), cosy and there was a big spa bath and shared sauna. it also had a well stocked kitchen! The location was incredible! it is centrally located and about a 5 minute walk from supermarket, 2 minute walk to restaurants and pubs. it is also about a 10 minute walk to the northern lights village! They even left us some Prosecco (ice edition) for when we arrived which was lovely. Checking out was easy and relatively simple (at the office next to supermarket). They also let us store our bags for the day which was nice. Checking in was easy as we had a private taxi transfer which picked us up, took us to the supermarket, picked up our keys and drove us to the property but on our first night, this may have been difficult without this service.

The highlight of our time in Finland! Katri had booked us a table for Christmas Eve dinner which was lovely and took us there. The room was bigger than we thought and were able to leave our luggage in the hallway by the door. We had breakfast delivered both mornings and it was great. The bed was big and comfortable, the sauna was nice. Juuso was very helpful picking us up and taking us into town. The jacuzzi was amazing!! We were able to leave our bags at reception when we checked out and Juuso brought them into the village for us a few hours later and then took us to the airport for an extra fee. We didn’t see northern lights but a winter snow Christmas was unforgettable! There was also Netflix, Disney plus on the TV.

We spend a relaxing long weekend at Valo Ice Cubes in February. The accommodation exceeded our expectations in every level and we have not experienced similar in the Alps or in the other Nordic countries where we have travelled in the past. We were warm welcomed by staff who briefly introduced us all the necessary information about the villa and answered to our questions that we had about local activities etc. The villa and furniture has been designed by Finnish designers and the items ranging from limited edition Marimekko tableware to locally manufactured soaps. The views from the living room are spectacular and on the first night we managed to spot Northern Lights from there. Also from both master bedrooms you can find a dedicated window for spotting the Northern Lights and the views from the sauna are amazing. The location of the villa is convenient. The slopes are located next to main entrance and we were able to ski directly from the Villa. Also our wishes were exceeded for example on Saturday evening we wanted to eat a dinner at the Villa and we were offered a delicious locally reindeer dish with a appetizer and desert. Overall we had a really nice stay and would definitely come there again in the future.

Amazing location, great facilities, very clean villa and a great atmosphere! We saw 2 times auroras from the villa at night whilst staying in jacuzzi - unforgettable experience! Host is super helpful and a friendly person as well, we had no issues with checking in or out. Thank you a lot, I can only recommend to stay at the Tupasvilla to a big group!
