Good location close to Bishop Auckland centre and train station. Rooms newly renovated and can tell a lot of care and attention has been taken on the design. Felt very luxurious and well finished. Good quality bed, mattress and linen made for a great nights sleep. One small improvement could be a mirror in the bedroom for makeup/hair styling near the outlets. Breakfast was nice and appreciated it being delivered to our room. Would happily stay again in the future when visiting family

Everything about our stay from arriving early and being checked straight in, the room we were in was in the original part if the building it had so much charm, temperature in the room was perfect, bed was comfortable, room was immaculate. Would highly recommend staying here, breakfast the next morning is probably the best we've ever had in a hotel.

    We stay there a lot in the Aquila suite it’s a big room with a lovely bathroom , sauna and its own private outside terrace with sunbeds and a hot tub. We go as a couple or sometimes take our 9 year old son with us as he adores it they always make a fuss of him and dote on him.

    The room was superb with a gorgeous spa bath for relaxation. The room was a very good size with a nice comfy bed and lots of pillows. Free Prosecco on arrival.

    Amazing room with fabulous hot tub which is covered, perfect for rainy night. Room is very spacious and exceptionally clean. Everything you need is provided, toiletries, bath robes, fresh milk etc. Breakfast in room is fantastic! Staff go above and beyond.

    We stayed in the room with a spa bath .. it definitely had the wow factor ! Host was very friendly . Nothing was a bother Extra touches such as fridge and robes , slippers and processo really made our stay enjoyable and relaxing
