We had the most wonderful staycation at Bowood and would highly recommend it to anyone. The staff, food and facilities were all so fantastic. We saw so much wildlife while enjoying a coffee on the terrace, which added even more magic to our stay. We will be back for sure.

Wonderful hotel right in the centre of Bath's Royal Crescent. The staff were perfect, helpful and attentive. Many small details marked the stay, which shows the quality of the establishment (magnificent building, splendid interior). The room we stayed in (we had an upgrade) was on the back side of the hotel and had its own little terrace; it was very large with a bedroom area, a ‘sitting’ room, a very large bathroom and an entrance hall. We had no direct neighbours, so the room was very, very quiet. The breakfast was excellent (small buffet, and menu offering different types from full English to eggs benedict, and a vegetarian menu). The spa was very pleasant (too bad the sauna wasn't working, but the hammam, bubble bath and swimming pool were). We went there often and there were never more than 5 of us in the spa. We had also booked a treatment (‘work it out’ massage), which was absolutely brilliant (many thanks to Meg)!

This is a wonderful hotel. The room was spacious, with authentic antique furniture that added real character. The bathroom was spotless, and the whole space felt cozy and comfortable. The staff were very helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant service was impressive. The location is fantastic, just a short walk (about five minutes) to the town centre, and very convenient for buses to downtown and the University of Bath. Truly a great place to stay.
