Great location. Long track to farm away from main road. Wonderful views. Night sky was crystal clear. Very peaceful and relaxing. Picturesque frosted landscape in the morning. Loch ken within a stones throw. Galloway forest a short drive for walks or mountain biking. Castle Douglas 10 min drive for all your shopping needs and cafe's .Thistle inn at Crossmicheal for food and drinks recommended only a minute from leaving the farm track on main road.👍

I just love this cottage, this was my second visit. Great views of local hills and the loch, plus there's a bath. And we were stargazing in the hot tub! Can't beat it for good value in D&G. Will be back!

Breakfast was fine, although I did not like the consistency of the spread - (would have preferred butter!). The conservatory was the saving grace for my visit - that was really nice to be able to sit there all evening alone. And Lindsay was quite happy for me to take a chair from the dining room and do a zoom call at 7am in the table tennis room. Bathroom was spacious and much lighter than the bedroom (I unpacked my stuff there), and the water was nice and hot.

The location of the cottage is stunning and very easy to find. We would nt change a thing, very relaxing , comfortable stay. The kids were so happy they loved the hot tub, could nt get them out . The hosts were brilliant had a fantastic stay thank you x

Lovely little place. Nice and quiet. Lovely owner too . And Cruz is class. Hot tub great, and has Bluetooth speaker to chill with music. Kids loved to explore. Dog loved his walks around. Loved it here Has everything you need for home from home. Plenty of places around to explore. Lovely spacious bedrooms aswell. And REALLY comfy beds. Walk in shower as well as bath. Nice and bright and airy

This was a lovely, well equipped little house. It had a microwave/grill, air fryer, toaster, kettle and fridge. Plenty for a weekend trip. The layout was great with the bedroom upstairs and location was great being 10mins away from castle Douglas. Bathroom area was a perfect size too! We loved the hot tub being included. Beautiful views as soon as you look out the windows. The local pub needs to be visited, staff were lovely and so was the food. Well worth the money.

The house was spacious, beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated. It had my favourite toiletries towels and bathrobes for using the hot tub. Our party had a dip in the hot tub which was 20 minutes of great fun. Every room had tasteful touches. The views from the sitting room are lovely and we saw red kites and fieldfares in abundance.
