From the moment we arrived at Alocin Cottage, it felt like stepping into a slice of rural paradise. Spacious room with views of the countryside and an incredibly comfy bed. Breakfast was lovely, staff very friendly and helpful. Shame we only stayed one night, so we didn't get to make use of the games room or the spa facilities. Would return for a longer trip.

The place was so close to the center, very quiet and perfect for our stay. The owners left some breakfast for us which was nice. Great communication and they checked on us to see if everything was ok. Wonderful stay.

Lovely, warm, renovated cottage just off the M6 but very quiet. Perfect for a family - super comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms - one has a spa bath and the other a super walk in shower. It was a lucky find on a long trip from Scotland heading south and fabulous to be able to do a couple of loads of washing and re-set for the rest of our journey. We really enjoyed our stay thank you.

Good location to get to other parts of the lake district. The property was clean and really cosy. The gardens behind it were spacious. We had 3 children with us and were pleasantly surprised to find a huge trampoline behind the property that we could use. The Hosts were lovely, helpful and accommodating, it was lovely chatting to them.
