This place is just perfect, close enough to the center but far enough to have quiet at night. The staff is just amazing, place is very clean, there is a pool in the hotel and another facing the lake just accross where you can sunbathe alone, its perfect. If i come back, this is the place to staff for sure.

I spent my first night at a location in town and the town can be very noisy. Refugio del Volcan is about mile and half from the main strip of restaurants and bars, but it was a perfect quiet escape for sleeping in the evenings. James was a fantastic host with lots of information regarding the area and suggestions for exploration, dining and more.

Everything was excellent, the staff was so friendly and the food was exquisite. Drinks are really good, the vibes and the music definitely match the place. I really enjoyed my stay there. I would book again 100 times, for sure!! :)

The location was in the heart of San Pedro activity and the view was amazing. Woke to the sound of the waves on the shore and the sun shining on the volcano across the lake. It was so beautiful. We stayed in the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment that had a kitchenette and even nice housecoats and slippers. The long deck off the bedroom that overlooked the lake was such a treat. The staff were very responsive and quick to fix some lights that had been burnt out due to a power surge/outage. Not everything was perfect but it was good value for what it cost. We left at 5am to catch a shuttle and staff was there to help with suitcases and get the keys from us. Excellent customer service.

The staff was very friendly and accomodation. We got early breakfast when we were up before breakfast started and helped us arrange our travel back to Guatemala City for a good price. The barman made excellent cocktails and the bed was possibly the most comfortable one we ever slept in.
