We stay for 4 nights. The property has good location with parking. In property 2 separate rooms so if you with kids it is really comfort. The garden is amazing with trampoline and small house for play. The kitchen is fully accessorized. Also small gift as a chocolate from owner was very cute. The location is good 5 min from castle Thanks

Friendly staff: Linda at reception and also the man who helped with the free bike hire. Location very handy. Recommendations of things to do worked out great. These two are just genuinely kind people. Place was very clean too and location very central while still being quiet.

From the moment we arrived, we felt very at home at Barbara Wellness Pension. Zoltán and presumably his family members were so lovely and helpful from the first moment until we left, to our puppy just as much as to us humans. We felt lucky to have the room on the top floor, so it was nice and quiet, luminous and with plenty of space for two of us plus a small dog. Depending on whether one likes to have a window open at night - it was possible to open the double glass door to the balcony, a small window in the bathroom and another window in the walk-in closet / reading room. It was very cozy and it felt like a small apartment due to the separate bathroom and extra room plus small balcony. If preferred, you could alternatively use the wall-mounted A/C which was plenty strong enough for the room(s). I personally loved that the house had solar panels installed, meaning you used electricity without a bad conscience during the day :) The pool was clean, with a neat garden area a around it and we had cushions for the deck chairs provided by Zoltán and family. There was a sauna and spa, however we didn't use either. Zoltán and his family were very hospitable and helpful. They spoke pretty good German and helped with recommendations. Breakfast was yummy with a variety of rolls and drinks, including juices, etc. The Balaton lake was within walking distance but buses went frequently as well to various beaches and options for hiking. Hiking spots were between 30 min walk and 1-1.5 hrs by public transport away (much quicker by car). Shops and restaurants were nearby, plenty to choose from, including two lovely typical Hungarian family run restaurants. Tempos allowed dogs inside, Jóbarát Vendéglö was the one we preferred slightly but they didn't allow dogs inside, only in the outdoors area which was close to the main road so not super quiet. Both great recommendations! Dogs were only allowed on a bus with a muzzle on (or in a bag).

    When we made the reservation, we relied on the many positive reviews of the hotel and assumed a higher price for the 2-day stay. We only wanted to relax. We liked the meal (both breakfast and dinner were ok, with varied options). The spa was also ok. Comfortable bed. The elephant figurine concept is really cute and I think it's a great thing for kids. Free parking is also a plus for hotel guests.

    We booked the upstairs and ground floor apartments, and they both were perfect for our needs. Both apartment had a bed room, bathroom, kitchen and living room. The garden was beautiful, and we really enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi.

    The location is all right, the main square and the railway/coach station are both reachable with a 10-min walk. There is some noise from the traffic, but it's not disturbing at night. The breakfast is great, varied and good quality. The wellness area is superb too, it is pretty spacious and has a lot of facilities (steam bath, saunas, jacuzzi). Very friendly and helpful staff.
