Hotel is beautiful. Room, dining and staff were exceptional. The only major negative was that the elevator was not working and guests had to walk up 2 flights of steps to get an alternative elevator.

Decor, grounds and space in hotel to relax. Rooms excellent size and separate shower unit is great. Staff very friendly, helpful and know how to make a stay a great experience. Having choice of restaurants for evening dinner encourages guests to dine at the hotel.

The staff in this hotel are excellent. Given how busy they are, every single staff member is welcoming, courteous, and more than willing to help. The hotel is spacious and nicely decorated, and the Larkspur bar is a lovely area for relaxation. The grounds are well maintained, steeped in history, and an ideal getaway to enjoy birdsong, the beautiful flowers, shubbery, and solitude. We loved the Elemis products and the Dyson hair dryer. It was great to have the choice of bath and shower. Comfortable bed and great pillows

The room was very comfortable, particularly the queen sized bed & bedding, and size and facilities in the bathroom. The lounge was gorgeous for relaxing in and the staff were very attentive. The attention to detail in the gardens was really great, they have done a wonderful job - beautiful connection with charities. We also used both the pool and the spa and really enjoyed both. We will definitely return for another visit!
