We came to Chennai for a medical treatment. At the very first 2 weeks, we stayed at Velachery area and decided to move to the centre of Chennai. With a recommendation from a friend and from good reviews, we decided to move to Esakki Empire. It was worthy decision we made! We met the MOST FRIENDLY OWNER of the Hotel. Most of the times, he is available at the Reception and always greet everyone with a big smile. We booked 2 rooms, and the owner gave us a generous upgrade to its 4th floor Penthouse. It’s a 2 adjoining room with a fantastic out-door terrace style balcony. This is a very new hotel and some of the essentials to the rooms are still on the way. Don’t worry, we are assured that, within few days’ time, the hotel rooms will be fully completed. The rooms are spacious and neatly arranged. Amazing comfortable beds and well-equipped with enough electrical sockets for all usages and lighting. The air-conditioning works perfectly. The toilets are fantastic with good pressure water as well. The Hotel main entrance will be locked (good security) around mid-night, however the receptionist will be available 24 hours. Its just walking distance to the main road and there is a friendly Chai-wala next to the hotel. Also there is a huge veg and non-veg mess just at the corner of the main road. Its walkable distance to the Chennai Railway Station. I would highly recommend this hotel for short and even long stays; even for solo, couples and for families too. Its clean, neat, new, affordable and comfortable compared to other lower hotels nearby. They gave us a 5-star service from a 3-star hotel. Since the area is so convenient, it is easier to commute to hospitals and other major places. The famous Express Avenue Mall is just 10 mins away.
