Stayed one night only. Came in late and went early morning after. Very clean and comfy small room. Very quiet and good nights sleep. Cosy and lovely feel, as walking through grandmas house. Self service breakfast and coffee was very nice early in the morning. Enough choices for light breakfast. Had a nice chat with other guests, in the living room before departure :) Very homey feel. There was a hot tub and grill outside which we did not have a change to use, but looked nice. Environment beautiful with the winter sunrise in the morning.

Everything! After being delayed due to blizzards and closed roads the staff rescheduled our stay without any doubt. Clear instructions and arriving at the cottage was overwhelming. Warmly decorated with Christmas ornaments and a welcoming thermal bath plus a bonus of seeing the northern lights.

Featuring a garden, an outdoor pool and river views, Bakkaflöt Guesthouse is set in Varmahlid. This guest house provides free private parking and a shared kitchen.

We stayed in a guest house. Beds very comfortable, and I appreciated that the house had two bathrooms for 5 of us! It was a nice luxury in Iceland.

Breakfast was a surprise! Loved the peaceful an quite stay, very friendly and relaxed neighbours. Beautiful and big sitting room for cozy dinners. Well organized kitchen to make your own food. I loved this place and I will highly recommend it to all my friends. The bathrooms 👌

Free parking and is in a very quiet area near the river and in the middle of the mountains. It’s very beautiful in the morning when the mist is covering parts of the mountains. It’s natural. The location is not very far from Blonduos which restaurants and other amenities are.
