Staff were wonderful before and during our stay. Good communication and very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. Fresh and locally sourced where possible. A delightful, tranquil location interrupted only by chimes from the bells from the local church (stops at night!), birdsong and cuckoo calls. Gignese has bars, cafes and restaurants and is within walking distance. Stresa with its lakeside promenades, shops and many restaurants is 15-20 minute drive away.

We loved our stay at Casa Rampolina. Federica and Denise made us feel welcome from the first minute onwards and made sure we had everything we needed. We have not experienced such hospitality in a long time. The place is so beautiful. The room was modern, yet cozy and had the most stunning views! Loved the eye for detail in every corner of the place. Breakfast was amazing - delicious food with the beautiful view from our room. Same goes for the restaurant, La Rampolina - if you get the chance you should try it! It was a perfect experience and we are planning on staying there again!

Laveno was a very good choice for visiting Lake Maggiore: it’s peaceful and very convenient to discover the islands by boat. The decoration and the facilities of the hotel were very fine. Especially the food was delicious.

The staff were incredible-I had read some previous reviews about the staff but could not believe how outstanding they all were. One person in particular who sticks in my memory is Alexander who works at the bar-he is a real asset to your hotel. The breakfast was also sublime
