A true ryokan experience with an exceptional food service. This heritage building is well-kept, dignified, and an absolute delight. There was no need to leave the building to have a satisfying bath—indoor or outdoor. I loved the private bath, and the overall tradition of the ryokan. The staff was so accommodating of our late check-in, took care to deliver our luggage to the station while we go to the Snow Monkey Park, and were attentive to our needs.

Staying here was a truly relaxing experience. The private onsen was a highlight, complemented by the beautiful space and friendly service. The living room and patio offered stunning views, creating the perfect setting to unwind. The location was also ideal, being close to the base of Monkey Park and the bus stop. It was such a welcoming experience. David was so kind to pick us up from the station and also drop us off in town for dinner. Great hospitality, small onsen but really nice. We enjoyed our stay very much.

This is a family run lodge where they went out of their way to make our stay a good one. Food was amazing and the proximity to the lift a real bonus, as was the local knowledge. The newly fitted Onsen was perfect to relax in after a day on the slopes. Would definitely return.

The staff were great and it really made the different! Everyone was super friendly. We really enjoyed our visits to the bar and the bartender. He was very professional and kind. The food at the restaurants was good. We're definitely savings this place to revisit again soon!
