Gran Tocoro was phenomenal. Everything was very nice, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The food was incredible, but come very hungry (if you ordered the meal) because there was a TON of food. The sauna was such a great addition and really added to our experience. The staff was so accommodating they even drove us into town when we missed the shuttle. They also provided luggage forwarding for us with ease.

The location is everything!! Amazing view of Mt Fuji. Koyama was so welcoming and informative on our arrival. The fire outside goes out after 2 hours and you can’t refill it. So worth asking about that or keeping it in mind, as we wanted to spend the evening outside but it was cold. The electric blankets did help though. Also, it’s half board but you make the food. We really enjoyed that but worth keeping in mind if you’d rather not. The pillows in one of the bedrooms were very hard and there were no alternatives. Sauna and hot tubs (large baths) were fab. No tea or coffee (unless you’d like to roast the beans yourself), so bring your own. Quite remote. Your own car is advisable.

A great glamping place for families and friends. The domes are well spaced apart from one another and each dome comes with your own dining area and toilet. The dining area and toilet are separated from the sleeping dome. Dining area has a fridge and it is equipped with utensils, cutlery and gas BBQ. The dome is new, clean and modern. The view from our dome faces Mount Fuji and we were very lucky that there were moments where the sky was clear and we could enjoy the breathtaking view. Free alcoholic drinks at the nature bar from 4pm to 8pm. The guy who checked us in was very polite and helpful even though he didn't speak English. He used his phone to translate and make sure we had all the information (sorry, we didn't get your name). To some, it may be a little troublesome to have to walk out of the dome to go to the toilet (which is just next to the dome). To us, it was not a problem at all as it is glamping afterall!

The location is an utter delight situated within 10 mins of walking distance from the bus station & surrounded by breathtakingly beautiful mountains while standing right in front of the majestic lake. 2. The staff will go out of their way to accommodate your relevant needs. For us, one such thing was food. We are a food restricted couple (one vegetarian and one gluten intolerant), we usually carry RTEs with us on our trips. Every night they heated up the curries and without saying provided two bowls of freshly prepared rice to eat with. P.S: Didn't charge anything for the same. 3. The onsens here are amazing - both public (free of cost) and private. Moreover, there is an ample supply of after bath cosmetic products kept for usage of hotel patrons. 4. The rooms provide you with enough supply of kimonos and loose clothing. Patrons usually are clothed in the same, moving around the surrounding area.

Loved everything! Staff are absolutely wonderful, this is one of the best places I have stayed. Ofcourse the view from the balcony in the room is amazing, with space to sit and relax. The public onsen and private rooftop onsen are wonderful watching the sunset with a view to Fuji. Don’t miss out on breakfast! Pick up from the train station and shuttle to town also worked really smoothly, just ask the helpful staff as we were able to arrive early to drop our bags off. The hotel lounge area is also very interesting and enjoyable, lots of art, books, relaxing and comfortable. Will always remember our stay here and recommend. Thankyou!
