Very nice place with many little nooks and corners with nice couches to relax and read a book. Comfortable bedrooms and breakfast options. We used this as a base to travel to ella by train, The staff are extremely helpful I wanted some steam to inhale, they organised the steam and also offered some herbs to add to the steam. Will definitely be back for a longer stay.

Where do I start. This place is absolutely AMAZING.The attention to detail in everything from room presentation to meals to staff and owners is impeccable. I cannot speak highly enough of everything and everyone. Please don’t be put off by the 17m2 room advertising as the size is double that with butiful outdoor setting and an added private jacuzzi. We fell in love with this place and didn’t want to leave.!!!

It was simply an amazing experience. We had a wonderful time at the property, gorgeous private villa, beautiful location, gorgeous views and amazing hosts. The villa is spacious, newly built, clean and fully equipped. Highly recommend.

We had the most perfect two nights at Hapu Tales. Muni goes above and beyond as a host, and her team put so much effort into making it a relaxing and comfortable place to stay; every detail has been thought of and the team were so helpful and friendly, we really felt like we were staying with friends. We had all of our meals in and the food was brilliant, authentic Sri Lankan cuisine with lots of flavour. The location is brilliant for exploring the beautiful surrounding sites but definitely make sure you stay long enough to take the time to relax by the pool or on the terrace with the breathtaking views. We stayed two nights and were sad to leave - it’s the perfect place to recharge and relax.

Great pool and view, the location is far away from the town but for us it was perfect to rest surrounded by nature, the staff is super friendly and attentive, they even did an upgrade for us to a room with a better view and we truly appreciate it.

Such a lovely couple hosted us. Great, clean room, with big balcony, near the railway station.😇 The lady host even packed us our breakfast leftovers for the trip, she also was very humble about the laundry and didnt say how much it cost, just mentioned we can leave as much as we want for this. Her husband took us to another city and waited for our bus. p.s. they have hot water as well :D Great stay in Ella.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and super attentive. They made our stay so comfortable. The views from the room are amazing. Sitting on the balcony at night, sipping a nice cup of sri lankan tea, listening to the sounds of the wildlife while watching fireflies in the trees was just so relaxing and beautiful. Special thanks to the chef who made us the best fish curry ever.
