We have been staying at this hotel for a week and have already extended our stay by a month. You won't find better service in Sri Lanka. The manager Chandana and all the staff are the friendliest people I have ever met. Any request will be fulfilled as soon as possible. Everything you ask for is available. Breakfast is included in the price, the table is not extensive, but every day the staff comes up with something new. For lunch and dinner you can choose a dish from the menu, the portions are huge for an average price! Every evening fresh fish is prepared for us, we buy it by ourselves at the local market. We pay quite a bit and get a delicious dinner right in the room. The hotel is on a hill which makes the views even better. There are many zones on a very well-groomed territory, a reception with a hammock and a large sofa, a dining area, a garden, a swimming pool, verandas near the room, bar. There are monitor lizards, squirrels, birds, sometimes monkeys appear) The staff also monitors their behavior! It’s not close to the ocean, but the road on a scooter takes 5-7 minutes, we don’t feel it at all. There is a great opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the island. Chandana also provided me with a new, beautiful scooter, at a low price for the island. We don’t feel much insects, everything is as it should be within the island. In addition, cute lizards live near the room doing their work so The room is spacious, very high stylish ceilings, minimalistic renovation. The room has a kettle, a refrigerator that freezes perfectly, TV, air conditioning. There is a laundry service, they will wash your clothes for minimal price. In general, the best place in Sri, very beautiful, I will attach a photo. Big thank you. Chandana and staff for your service ❤️

Amazing hotel in an amazing location. We travelled as a family with a 6mth old baby and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Bottles and baby cutlery etc washed every day and our baby was treated like royalty! The food is very good and very good value. We went half board which is recommended. The set menu in the evenings is good but may be a tad repetitive if staying more than 4/5 days or if you don't like fish or curry!! A special mention to Thejani in the restaurant, she was simply fantastic, helpful and made us feel so welcome, likewise with Samantha. Chamindi and the team at reception were always so helpful and welcoming.

Staying at Mindara Villa felt like a homecoming. As a fellow Sri Lankan, I truly appreciated the warm, genuine hospitality we received .The owner and staff were friendly and kind, never pushy or money minded, always ready to help with a smile. Our Lotus room was modest but more than comfortable ,air-conditioned, clean private bathroom, balcony/garden-view and a peaceful ambience ,just what we needed after bustling beach days. The villa itself, with its garden, terrace/balcony options and pool access , gave us a quiet, relaxing retreat away from noise perfect for winding down. On top of that, all essential comforts were there: good bed and linens, free Wi-Fi, private parking, and friendly, down to earth service. I felt respected and welcomed .Not treated as a guest paying for luxury, but as someone visiting family. For anyone seeking a restful, friendly and authentically Sri Lankan stay in Unawatuna with warmth, comfort and fairness .I wholeheartedly recommend Mindara Villa.
