This is the coolest and most beatiful place to stay in the city! The experience of living in an houseboat is something you don't want to miss. You have an amazing view from every spot of the boat and the external space is a dream! The rooms are also super cozy and you will find all the amenities (and more!) of a regular apartment. From the moment we arrived, our host Ovi made us feel incredibly welcome. He greeted us warmly, helped us settle in, and gave great local tips that made our visit even more enjoyable. The penthouse itself is stunning — bright, spotless, and beautifully designed with attention to every detail. The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Amsterdam, yet peaceful and private. Everything we needed was within walking distance. Super cool accommodation resort. The sauna complex is classy and rustic, with many beautiful designs, like the Birdnest sauna. The hotel room was spacious and comfortable with gorgeous redesigning of the fort building. Quiet & dark in the morning. I guess being a fort helps soundproofing! I slept extremely well. The included buffet breakfast was delicious! Perfect for a couple's retreat.

Volkshotel is located in the East district of Amsterdam, only 50 metres from metro station Wibautstraat.

Yes the rooms are not he biggest but we had booked the small room. but it has a bed, a cupboard and a private bathroom which is more than enough because who goes to Amsterdam to stay inside? It's clean, safe and the staff are lovely. The location is sublime. I would definitely stay here again when returning to Amsterdam.

The Executive Double room is one of the very best hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. Not because it's fancy but because it's perfectly thought-out. Comfortable double bed, amazing spa bath but mainly, the layout was excellent. I loved the table and the comfy armchair.
