This place is perfect in so many ways. Host meeting you on arrival - staff appear whether you wander out of your room and ask if they can assist. Amazing service. Every member of the team was perfectly polite, engaging, and responsive. They will organise anything that you want - trips across the surrounding area. One couple had a helicopter trip and it literally landed on the lawn of the place. That is defeintly the way to end a long day! Location - stunning is the word you will probably read most about this place. And it actually is. Room - we had the room with the terrace - I would book this again - as you walk straight out from your room into a courtyard which is in the shade and sun in the afternoon. This is an all-inclusive accommodation - it has to be as it is a trek from the local towns. The food was extremely good. It was never too much or too little the chief has got the balance right. At the end of the trip I left items in the room (very annoyed with myself) the owner looked after them and made sure we got them back. Everything was amazing

We loved the place. It was our honeymoon and I made a mistake on the reservation and booked a room with shared bathroom. I've asked for change and they did an upgrade without charging more money. When we arrive, Mike gave us a big hug and congratulations for the weeding, I wasn't excepting such a warm welcoming. Very comfortable room and very warm. Good wi-fi!

The location was phenomenal. Just a few minutes’ drive from the town center and close to the Kepler Track. Helen was so incredibly kind and friendly, and we beyond enjoyed the beauty of the chalet and animals around us. We wished we could have stayed a few more days!

Alpine Rock is a cozy and quiet house surrounded in nature, just a 5-minute drive from Te Anau. While Jeff and Jan were excellent hosts, and we truly enjoyed meeting them, Eddie stole the show as the best host, making sure we could pet him to our hearts’ content. Breakfast was exceptional—healthy, delicious, and served right on schedule. Our stay at Alpine Rock was heartwarming, and we’ll definitely return if we are ever in Te Anau again.
