First of all, it feels like you're pulling up to your own private mansion. When they say boutique, it's a very accurate description to be fair and in the best of ways. Being offered a drink and a cold towel upon checking in was a really nice touch as well :) Warm welcome indeed. From staff, the rooms, the hot tubs, service in the restaurant, everything was top-notch. The Hotel Managers Darsh, was absolutely outstanding and always made sure I had everything I needed during my stay. Couldn't recommend this place highly enough, so don't hesitate. It's worth it.

Beautiful and quiet, but not too far from town (an uber on Friday night was $30). Clean, spacious, all amenities top notch. Wonderful communication from the proprietor regarding late check in info.

Property was in a fantastic location near all of the major Rotorua tourist spots. It had a fantastic view of the geysers in Te Puia. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with en suites. The breakfast was fantastic - fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, cold meats and cheeses and fresh toast / breads. Dave and Shami were excellent hosts. They gave great advice as to where to go / what to do. They made us a lovely cup of tea / coffee in the morning. They were so welcoming upon arrival and wished us safe travels on our departure. We wished we could have stayed longer! Thank you for having us! :)

A wonderful, serene spot! We had a very relaxing time. The couple who managed the lodge were so kind and friendly and always doing everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious and abundant, with so much variety of food. We definitely hope to return.

    Staff were very friendly and helpful with a gorgeous reception and lounge area. The spa pools were fantastic to relax and warm up in as it was a bit cool and rainy out. The location is great as well. Had a nice selection of foods for breakfast and coffee/tea/drinking chocolate in the room also. Good amount of counter space in the washroom for doing hair/makeup. AC worked great to keep the room at a comfortable temp for us without being too loud.

    Check in was simple, rooms spacious and clean, jacuzzi baths are a great bonus! Morgen on reception was very kind "host" and offered us some assistance when using the hotels laundry facilities which was much appreciated. Great value when exploring Rotura and surrounding area. Would recommend.

    Awesome stay with my partner. Bed was comfortable and facilities were clean. Jacuzzi and sauna room was relaxing and it was good that it was separated from the main pool due to noise levels. Room was equipped with smart tv and free Netflix was a bonus. Loved our stay, highly recommend Waiora Lake Spa and Resort.
