Such a lovely stay! Stayed here for one night to visit the arouce 516. But would have loved to stay longer. Room was nice, good bed, a balcony, good bathroom. The host even prepared the breakfast early for us because we booked a timeslot for the arouca bridge at 8.30.

Not every day you get to stay in a house where the owner's roots go back to Portuguese royalty :) We absolutely loved our stay in Santiago Family House - staff made us feel very welcome, communication was fast and reliable, the room and the house overall was sparkling clean, nice and comfortable. You get to use the kitchen and all it's utilities which is specially nice when arriving late or staying for a longer period. Pool was a very welcome extra after a hot day and for a morning dip. Overall a very lovely stay, both me and my husband wished we could have stayed for more than just one night.

Excellent! A wonderful hotel right on the banks of the Douro River. The suits are comfortable and well equipped. We were looked after by the very friendly staff - Carla, Tamiä, Silvia and the kitchen staff. Always a smile and very helpful. The hotel has been designed in a very tastefully manner and with greatest love for detail. Just beautiful! The breakfast buffet had a wide selection of freshly prepared foods and is very beautifully decorated. The picnic basket is a must! A wonderful place to unwind, relax and enjoy. I booked a room at the ZEN & ART - Alojamento de Charme for a colleague who was on business in the area. Unfortunately, he became ill during his stay, but the staff were amazing and ensured he was OK. They even made him chicken soup, then rice and turkey when he was able to eat again. Excellent service in a superb hotel.
