A highly recommendable hotel with pleasant, helpful, professional staff. Extremely well-kept comfortable rooms with excellent soundproofing. Bathrooms with wonderful spacious rainshowers. The Douro restaurant is bright and comfortable and serves a quality and varied buffet breakfast. Their dinner menu is also to be recommended as they have delicious Portuguese dishes.

The hotel is well renovated, clean, the bathroom has everything you need: slippers, a bathrobe, napkins... The bed is comfortable. The bedding is super clean! It's five stars. The staff will do everything to make you feel at home! Friendly drivers will meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel, where a welcome drink and fruit in the room await you upon check-in.

I had an amazing experience at Torel Avantgarde! The staff were incredibly friendly and made sure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They were genuinely interested in me as a guest and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. To top it off, we were even given a complimentary room upgrade, which was designed by the famous architect Oscar Niemeyer, and a bottle of sparkling wine with fresh fruit in our room upon arrival. The view from our upgraded room was breathtaking and really added to the overall experience. The hotel features rooms designed by different artists, which adds a unique touch to the overall experience. The breakfast was also amazing, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. I highly recommend Torel Avantgarde to anyone looking for a luxury hotel stay with fantastic service, a beautiful view, and an amazing breakfast.

Excellent service, wonderful staff. The hotel was opened in 2024, and has been very well maintained. A few minutes on a downhill walk to all the main streets and amenities, relatively quiet location. Breakfast was great and the Spa was so relaxing. Definitely one to return to :)

Beautiful beach house in matosinhos. Perfect start for our camino to santagio. Ivo the owner was extremely helpful . With a group of 18 he found us a restaurant and was such a lovely person. One of our group lost her glasses which he sent back to my home in ireland. Highly recommended. Only problem was that we couldn't stay longer.

This was an amazing, quirky place to stay - I loved it. The host was so friendly and helpful, and as well as having lovely accommodation, the courtyard garden was really lovely. I hope I can go back again!
