We were looking for a cheap one night stay and Spindletop was a good value that met my expectations. Facility looks like it used to flourish in the 90s as it has an event center; now, building and amentities are a little dated and some areas needed upgrades/remodeling but it still looked nice to me. Staff was friendly, we got upgraded at check-in to a room with a hot tub, so that was fun! Large fridge was present. If you chose to stay her for the 'free wifi', forget it. Only time I could get reception, and that was minimal, was very late at night or early in am.
