A bit like staying in my grandma’s when I was young: you can hear ppl walking upstairs while lying in bed, and plenty of birds like motmots early morning in the courtyard. Room has sliding glass doors, with curtains for sun blocking and privacy. Private cove reachable via a proper hike, staircase to start with but majority is along riverbeds and through bushes, rocks and tree trunks…be prepared, I had to wash my shoes after that 😂 also remember your way down, no signposts or anything like that, and getting lost in the bush when there is no mobile signal can be scary… Castara beach via paved road downhill and staircase, some may find it steep. Sunsets are amazing, boats, music, guys playing football in the twilight…very atmospheric. Good food options close by in the village. The ones recommended by hotel 👍🏻 About 1.5h drive from airport. Worth the trip if you ask me.

Very nice apartment great location on Eagle Beach. Bridget at reception was very helpful and was a good source of information for restaurants and local amenities. Will definitely return for our next vacation in Aruba.
