We were going to El Chalten for a couple of days, so on our return, just to El Calafate airport, he picked it up and sent it to us at the airport in a taxi (all arranged with him over Whatsapp).

It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the bus station. The hotel staff are amazingly friendly! Although there was no elevator, two staff members I met at the reception helped me carry my heavy luggage to the second floor. I had two separate stays and left my heavy luggage at the hotel. When I came back for my second stay, my luggage had already been sent to my room! I got up late in the morning because of the exhaustion the previous day and missed breakfast. The staff noted that and gave me a set of bread and coffee! It was a very good experience to stay in this hotel.

There are classically furnished guest rooms on offer, all of which have an en suite bathroom with a spa bath and a great view of the Argentinian Lake. There are also self-contained bungalows with a living room area and a kitchen, ideal for families or small groups. Such a beautiful place. Wish we could have spent longer. Calm. Loved the views. The breakfast delicious. To get there is a dirt road so we were glad we had our four wheel drive.
