Set amid the wonderful Alpine landscapes of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, this traditional 4-star hotel offers elegant rooms and excellent spa facilities. Restaurant & cuisine – The dining room delivered outstanding food, excellent table service, and mountain views that made every meal memorable. Hospitality – Staff throughout the hotel—from check‑in to housekeeping—exceeded every expectation. Breakfast experience – A wide and tasty buffet, prompt service, with hot dishes prepared on request made for an energizing start to each day. Ideal for short stopovers – I originally planned this as a two‑night rest to avoid a long drive after a flight. While I didn’t have time for the spa, its generally praised 1,000 m² wellness area shows just how full a longer stay could be. Impeccable cleanliness – I hold very high standards for hygiene; the room and public areas surpassed them entirely.

The 4-star superior hotel has been family-run since 1634 and offers an indoor swimming pool, various saunas, steam baths, a children's playground and a cosy lounge. We had been there before the pandemic and loved much. So we came again. All staff is polite and heplful. Hotel was renovated and very clean. Rooms are cosy and comfortable. Spa and pool area are nice. Food is perfect like a fine dining restaurant. You can find everything you want and more for breakfast. If you are planing a holiday at Garmisch, this hotel is definitely the best.

Appartements Gladbach is located in Heiterwang in the Zugspitz Arena Ski Area, 1 km from Lake Heiterwang. It offers free Wi-Fi and a spa with an indoor pool and an outdoor hot tub. Incredibly well equipped, guest apartment with a well thought through layout. Fabolous kitchen, modern showers, great sitting area, and little patio. Amazing little wellness area with Sauna, various steamrooms, outdoor hot tub, Pool, etc.

We had a wonderful experience at the Zugspitz Hotel Diana Thörle. It was the perfect place to stay in Ehrwald for our short hiking trip. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and courteous — we've experienced such warm hospitality at only a few places. They arranged a lovely buffet breakfast for us, and thanks to their support, we were able to successfully complete our hike to Seebensee. They provided weather updates and helped us with planning, which made a big difference. As for the accommodation, we booked a two-room apartment with a kitchen and a balcony. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. Sitting on the balcony and enjoying the breathtaking mountain views was a highlight of our stay. There’s a local bus service (refer to the pics attached) to and from Ehrwald town, but since it runs infrequently, it's important to plan accordingly. If we’re traveling through southern Germany or nearby Austria again, we would definitely love to return here.

Surrounded by the Tyrolean mountains, the historic, family-run Hotel Spielmann is located in Ehrwald, a village at the foot of the Zugspitze mountain. Everything was perfect. Beautiful views, amazing swimming pool outside. Friendly and helpful staff

This privately owned Alpine-style design hotel is located in the centre of Oberammergau, 700 metres from the Passion Theatre. Hotel Maximilian offers design rooms and a spa area. Beautiful property in the centre of the village - great restaurant and bar - lovely terrace - lovely food - drinks and staff - great breakfast with too - wish we had stayed for longer

Location is excellent, beds were comfy, plenty of space in the room, large well appointed bathrooms, super clean, daily room services, delicious breakfast & great coffee. The perfect stay in Oberammergau!
