Set by Erhai lakeside, Hotel Indigo Dali Erhai offers accommodation just a 10-minute walk from Erhai Park. Free WiFi is available in all areas and the property boasts a fitness centre. 10/10! Location, facility, staff... evening is beyond expectations. We stayed three times, and really appreciate the late check out and early check in offered by the staff on two occasions respectively. Will certainly go back again!

It is a five-minute walk from one of the entrances to the old town. It is a very nice hotel and we had a fantastic, spacious room with modern furnishings, which was very clean. There was also a small outdoor terrace and a clothesline for drying clothes. The guest house is run by the owner and his wife, who had a young son. The fact that the owner speaks good English makes things much easier and allows him to recommend other places in beautiful Dali and the surrounding area of Lake Erhai: biking aorund the lake, visiting the nearby town of Xizhou (very beautiful too!) and Zhoucheng (a truly Bai village.) The owner also helped me with some glasses that I had lost on the plane, calling the airport in several occasions. On the day we left, he even took us to the airport in his own car, as he was picking up a friend a little later. If you go to this guest house, be sure to visit the restaurant next door, which specialises in mushrooms (although it serves many other dishes too). You can enjoy your mushrooms in a hot pot. It's a real treat that showcases the flavours of the region, and the staff are extremely friendly and happy to help you try new dishes
