I was one of the first guests at this newly refurbished hotel. Stephan and his team were very helpful at check in with a tour of the beautiful property. The room was large, nicely furnished and clean. The hot tub is spectacular and is a nice community space that allowed me to get to know some of the other guests that weekend. Stephan is a Chef and the breakfast buffet was amazing. He also offered to prepare items that weren't on the buffet upon request.

The entire place is just beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. We got to watch and hear howler monkeys as well as a Kolibri while swimming in the pool surrounded by lush green plants and trees. Especially worthy pointing out is the friendliness and helpfulness of the host. After mentioning to Mike that I quite bad ear pain he came back to me with his own medication and even let me keep them after we went on to Montezuma and Uvita. Literally saved my holiday, thanks a lot Mike!! Apart from that very open Host who was able to provide tons of information and recommendations not only on Mal Pais and Santa Teresa but also other places like Montezuma. All in all, a perfect stay!

The location is remote, but that's what I went for. I wanted to relax and get away from daily life. The property is gorgeous and has hammocks throughout to read and relax in. I had a little kitchenette with all the necessary utensils and used it for some snack preparation. You can easily order food from some nearby restaurants and they'll bring it to your door. I also had the hotel breakfast delivered to my room, and it was so nice to have a warm and fresh breakfast that I didn't have to prepare. The staff were great and accommodated me showing up a little early and let me into my room. I was given a pipa upon arrival and that was a nice and unexpected treat. Everything is clean and as you'd expect! I stayed in the wooden house and I'll most certainly return.
