An Unforgettable Stay The moment my family, my husband, and I arrived at the hotel (even before stepping inside), we kept repeating, “Can we stay one more night here?” After checking out, our most repeated phrase was, “Can we go back and stay in this hotel next time?” Initially, we had planned to stay just one night, unaware of how extraordinary and perfect our experience would be. The hotel is exceptionally cozy, stylish, and beautiful, exuding comfort. Nestled atop a little mountain, it offers breathtaking views of the entire village. It’s truly enchanting. Despite informing the hotel of our late arrival, checking in was seamless and hassle-free. Upon entering our room, we were welcomed by a spacious area with a gentle scent of wood, instantly creating a relaxing and comfortable ambiance. The bathroom was impressively large, featuring a spacious shower, a window that let in natural light, a stone sink, and even a radio. (A minor suggestion would be to add a small shelf to place shower gel and shampoo in the shower, as we had to put ours on the floor, but it’s a trivial matter.) Our room boasted a balcony, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful exterior views. The hotel also thoughtfully provided a bag containing two robes and slippers for the sauna, reminiscent of the meticulous attention to detail found in Japanese onsen hotels. Although we didn’t have time to use the sauna, we did visit it, and it appeared pristine and inviting. We lamented not arriving earlier to take full advantage of it. The hotel’s breakfast was exceptional, offering a variety of delicious options, including some unique types of cheese infused with herbs and chili. Enjoying the view from the restaurant while dining was a delightful experience. The waitresses were both helpful and friendly. It was evident that the breakfast was prepared and curated with care, far surpassing the ordinary hotel breakfast. The hotel’s commitment to providing the best for its guests was palpable.

Located at the Breitenberg Mountain, Das Landhaus offers comfortable apartments with free WiFi internet access throughout. Das Landhaus far exceeded our expectations. They offer so much, more than any other hotel/bed and breakfast I have stayed at. This place is ideal for couples, families with small children or teens, or small groups. I normally do not gloat over a hotel, but the place was so well designed. Nice kitchen; hot, powerful shower, comfortable beds, and nicely decorated. What really caught me off guard was the abundance of free add-ons such as a well appointed gym, large sauna, natural pool, and hot tub. Plus they offered free loaner bikes, hiking sticks, and so much more.

This family-run hotel in Oberstdorf offers a jacuzzi with mountain spring water, and great views of the Allgäu Alps. It is a 6-minute drive from the Fellhornbahn cable car. High on the mountain very isolated perfect tranquility beautiful walking trails room with balcony and view of the mountains was spectacular. Staff friendly. You feel at home and the food…..

This spa and golf hotel features its own golf course and wellness area with indoor pool. It lies 2 km from Oberstaufen town centre and offers free parking. We had a wonderful time at the Johanneshof. The rooms are spacious and bright with lots of power plugs and a big wardrobe. WiFi and TV work well. You can even choose your preferred pillow. The breakfast is delicious. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The two and a half saunas (60°, 90°, plus infrared) as well as the pool and the fresh water tubs are great for relaxing. The complementary water, tea and nuts / dried fruits are a very welcome addition. Every other day the hotel organises an activity for free (yoga, guided walks, etc). Parking is available behind the house and an EV charger is located on ground (Chargepoint, to be paid, currently 57c). Massages can be booked as well. The hotel doesn't have its own restaurant, but there are numerous great options in a 5 min driving radius or a 25 min walking distance. The complementary Oberstaufen plus card allows you to use public transport and ski lifts, visit museums, participate in activities, etc.
