Set in a 12th-Century building, this hotel offers spa facilities and elegant rooms overlooking gardens and the beautiful Tauber Valley. It stands on the edge of Rothenburg’s Medieval town centre. The property was incredible and in such a great location. The room was large, very clean, and had beautiful views. Otto checked us in and out and was an absolute delight. We were headed to Nuremberg next and he recommended we try the lebkuchen at the markets and we were so thankful for that recommendation - it was delicious!

The property is beautifuly situated 10 minutes walk away from the old walled town. The chalet is spotlessly clean and decorated in a very stylish modern way. The facilities inside the house are perfect and the spa facilities in the private garden are amazing. The whirlpool, sauna and plunge pool were the perfect way to relax after a long day exploring the town. The owner is very attentive to ensure an enjoyable stay. We will be back again.

Hotel Weinbauer is a traditional hotel peacefully and central located in Schwangau, 1.5 km from Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau Castles. Built in 1865, the cosy hotel is decorated with frescoes. This hotel is located in the town of Schwangau, just a short distance from the cable car and Neuschwanstein Castle, about a 30-minute walk away. There’s a beer garden next door, and across the street, you’ll find a supermarket and a post office. Behind the hotel, there’s also a visitor center where travelers can get all kinds of information. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly! They even lent me a pair of scissors so I could cut the tags off my newly purchased dirndl and wear it the next day. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay close to Neuschwanstein Castle while experiencing authentic Bavarian village life. This hotel is absolutely wonderful—I’ve already started planning my next trip to come back here!
