This unique location — a fortress — offered superb accommodation for my tour group. The Tower room offered excellent opportunities for morning birdwatching; all rooms were clean; staff were very friendly and helpful with offers of maps, local sights, and opportunity for local activity bookings; breakfast was served fresh and promptly each morning; and the location is in a quieter and secure neighbourhood (El Eden). This was by far the favourite accommodation among tour guests compared with two other similarly priced locations in Galapagos (Santa Cruz and Isabela). I cannot say enough good things about La Fortaleza and look forward to returning with more guests in the future. A big thanks to hosts Gianna and Roberto!

Particularly love to the pool and Jacuzzi, from which you can see birds and seals and iguanas! The staff was fantastic as well. Very helpful. And the breakfast was delicious!

Located in Puerto Ayora, 0.9 km from malecon, El Descanso del Guia features air-conditioned rooms and an outdoor swimming pool. The staff were really super friendly, always there for us. We received a warm welcome. The room was extremely clean. The linen was changed every day and the room was tidied up. Breakfast was also good.
