Featuring a private beach, Blend Elphistone Resort Marsa Alam is located in the south of the Red Sea. It offers 4 outdoor pools, a diving center and a gym. This large resort is 30 minutes from Marsa Alam airport. It served the best food I’ve ever had in Egypt during many years of travel there. One evening there was a superb filet mignon. The restaurant service team is really attentive and polite. The gardens are also really beautiful and continuously tended to. The resort has four pools, one is a quiet adult-only pool and another is heated which was nice now in the colder off season. The resort is not sheltered by wind as much, so very windy conditions result in a red flag requiring guests to stay inside the reef which still lets you swim in the ocean in the shallow. There was some animation by the pool and beach area, however finishing at a 11pmish at the latest.

Our children (8 and 11 years old) especially loved the aquapark, which provided hours of fun and excitement. The beachfront location was beautiful, but with a pronounced water reflux, which could be seen as a negative thing or a positive one: an opportunity to explore the beach when the water receded. Our room was very big, nice and clean. Cleanliness throughout the resort was impressive and the friendliness of the staff made our stay even more pleasant. Our kids also really enjoyed the VR games, and the person at the VR movie area was fantastic with them. The resort itself is quite large, which might not suit guests who prefer a smaller, more compact setting. However, there are quadracycles and a shuttle bus to help get around, which made it manageable. It’s worth mentioning that the resort is far from any cities or towns, so going for a walk outside the resort isn’t really an option. That said, there is plenty to do on-site, and there are also organized excursions available, like safaris and other tours, if you’d like to explore the surrounding area. The food was delicious, with a wide variety and plenty of restaurant options to choose from. The Mediterreanean and Soprano restaurants had amazing sea views. Overall, we had a great family holiday here and would happily recommend it to other families looking for a fun, relaxing getaway.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we were surprised—the reception is beautiful, everything is clean, and the staff is very friendly. A welcome drink and a moist towel for refreshment are a standard here. We arrived at the hotel as early as 9:00 AM, and to our surprise, our room was already prepared for us. Before checking in, we went to enjoy breakfast (which was excellent). Unfortunately, we were given the wrong room, which had separate beds instead of a double bed. However, this was not a problem that Abdelsalam (the front office manager) couldn’t solve within a few minutes. Within 20 minutes, we were moved to a new, beautiful room. Regarding the accommodation: The rooms are very nice and modern. Since it's a new hotel, you might encounter a few minor issues (in our case, the air conditioning stopped working for a day), but a quick call to the reception, and everything is resolved to your satisfaction within minutes. The rooms are exceptionally well-equipped, and you will find everything you need for your stay. We greatly appreciated the regular restocking of the minibar. We had a Swim-up Junior room, which has direct access to the pool, and there was nothing to criticize about the room. Regarding the staff: We were pleasantly surprised that everyone greeted us and smiled at us. Any request or question was handled with a smile. We would especially like to thank the gentlemen (probably the restaurant managers) of the Italian and Asian restaurants, the friendly waiter named Samy, and the excellent bartender Abd.

Facing the beachfront, JAZ Elite Maraya offers 5-star accommodation in Marsa Alam City and features an outdoor swimming pool, garden and bar. We loved overall conception of the hotel - everything was convenietly close. Our room had beautiful seaview. Service manager Mr. Mohamed Hassan cared about us from the very first day and ensured we have everything. My 5y daughter loved very much Miss Leli from kids club and enjoyed their time together.
