This is the best property in the whole area and one of the best places I’ve stayed in my life. The owners are lovely, the rooms are perfect, the renovated barn is interesting and the area is lovely with hiking and biking paths. Make sure to have dinner at the property- it was the best meal of our trip.

Amazing stay, from the location on the mountain overlooking the valley, the big space inside, floorheating, incredible comfortable bed and pillows, very elegant, cozy interieur to the very friendly host, everything is perfect here. This is one of the appartments where we were sad that we booked for one night, we should have stayed at least a week.

Offering a terrace and spa centre, Akelarre is situated in San Sebastián, 5 km from Calle Mayor. There are 2 restaurants on site and one of them is awarded with 3 Michelin stars. The rooms and overall design of this small 20-room hotel are simply outstanding. Every detail feels thought-through, perfectly executed, and the ambiance is both luxurious and warm. The staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming, making our stay feel truly special. And the breakfast? Easily one of the best we’ve had in a long time. Unfortunately, the highly anticipated 3-Michelin-star restaurant was a letdown. While the staff were lovely and the menu looked very promising, the execution didn’t quite match our expectations. Many dishes, although visually impressive and using modern techniques, lacked depth of flavor. As frequent visitors to Michelin-starred restaurants, this experience felt surprisingly average. It’s hard to say this because the team was clearly trying their best — but this is of course a subjective opinion.

Situated 2.2 km from Kursaal in San Sebastián, Villa Birdie features free WiFi access and free private parking. All rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Relaxing, clean, nicely decorated. Nice having a pool with sun beds. Off street parking a bonus. Blanca was the perfect host. Always help with the parking and constantly giving good local recommendations for places to eat & places to eat.

Casa Rural Arregi is set in a tranquil area 3 km outside Oñate and enjoys panoramic mountain views. The property has a garden with BBQ facilities and shared lounge with TV and fireplace. We stayed 4 nights in arregi in 2 rooms with our family. It's 5' by car from the city of Onati and extremely rural at the same time. We really enjoyed the calmness and rest of this place. The rooms, beds and bathrooms are up class. The host is super friendly and helpful. 1h from Bilbao or san Sebastian, 45' to the sea, 5' to very nice walking areas. We visited urbia, which was wonderful. The aitzuli eye is also a great walk.

The host is wonderful. She prepared so much for our visit and provided a lot of special items for our kids like high chairs and nice cribs. She took great care of us and gave us so much good and detailed information about the area and things to do and see. She also brought us lovely treats and was very responsive to our needs without being intrusive. Very good communication. The apartment is great - very spacious and well equipped and has a really nice outdoor space. It worked really well for kids too as there is nothing too dangerous or breakable.
