Apukka Resort is in Apukka, just 15 minutes drive from Rovaniemi. The property features multiple saunas, including an ice sauna, igloo sauna and movable saunas. Everything. It was clean, comfortable, modern, food was good (breakfast and dinner), amazing staff, beautiful location with a lot of activities. And reindeer!

Its out of the way, its safe for kids, there are nature walks right next to where you're staying. The place was spotless, furniture was comfy and very inviting. The old addage of you dont holiday to stay in your hotel is applicable but where you are tired and in need of just a couch day, this place absolutely fits the bill. Privacy was good, you have neighbours but you're not watching their tv and listening to their music by proximity. Lots of animals doing the rounds also, we saw white rabbits bouncing around the snow and reindeer on the nature trails. The host was very obliging and despite my ludicrously early check in request still managed to cater for me and the two kids on very short notice. The host was also very obliging in offering us additional resources where we needed them and also on very short notice. Its also off the beaten track yet close to the airport. A very well balanced combination.

The property was very clean, spacious and beautifully organized making the apartment a warm place. The kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed cooking dinner in the at the location and had lovely meals in the spacious dining room. You cand relax can on the couch in front of the chimney and enjoy the great views of the river and watching the sun. Location was ready all the amenities. A great location, everything was perfect during our stay and good communication with the owner. Thank you Milla for hosting us!

Located within Santa Claus Village, Glass Resort is set in Rovaniemi. All apartments comes with floor-to-ceiling windows, sauna and a private outdoor hot tub. Fantasticcbeauty of this place is something out of this world. Few steps from Santa village. Restaurant like Michelin star! Staff polite... Everyone should visit this place, sometime in his life!

Located on the private island of Vartiosaari in Rovaniemi, Aino Private Island Hotel is an adults-only boutique retreat offering a quiet and highly personal stay just 10 minutes from central Rovaniemi... The setting was absolutely beautiful. Gorgeous snow and scenery. Very quite area. The rooms were stunning, had everything we needed. Very friendly, homely feeling. Its a family run hotel, the lady who was working the days we were staying was so friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to chat to our kids about there days trips and what plans they had when she would meet them outside. Taxis are about 30euro from the hotel to Santa Claus Village & City Centre.
