The location is very central and easy to walk around the town. The staff was so very pleasant and helpful! They helped get us dinner reservations during the busy Ascension holiday weekend. Wonderful breakfast in the spacious downstairs. ample parking on the grounds. No elevator, but an easy climb up the wide spiral staircase, plus, we were helped with the luggage on arrival. The garden was lovely to lounge in. Our room was spacious and delightfully decorated.

We stayed on our way to catch the ferry home from Caen. It was very easy to find and a stunning property steeped in history. The rooms were fascinating and we felt welcomed by Joseph and Ogen who were friendly and explained the history and restoration of the property which dates from 1260. The rooms that we stayed in had a modern shower bathroom between them and beautifully soft bathrobes and large towels were provided. We requested the evening meal and it was the best food we had eaten on our entire holiday, we were also asked for any dietary requests as well. Creatively prepared leek vinagrette opened the meal, local vegetables and deliciously moist cod for the main course and the meal finished with fresh strawberries and homemade Chantilly cream. They had a fully stocked bar which complemented the meal. It was a truly unique stay and would love to return when the weather would allow us to use the outdoor pool! We had breakfast the next day which consisted of fresh croissants and jam and Ogen also made some divine scrambled eggs with chives.

Peter and Mario are exceptional hosts who truly understand the art of hospitality. They made us feel welcome and attended to our every need. The food was outstanding and a highlight of our stay.

Well, if you like people, movement and action, this is not the place for you, otherwise it is simply ideal for relaxing and leaving your problems behind! I have spent many holidays in France in similar B&B places, but the owners of Grand Lucay far surpass any I have seen before. Extremely kind and friendly as one rarely, very rarely finds. Thank you!

We arrived later than expected, and the welcome was so warm and kind They even made an evening meal for us, which was superb. Breakfast was also very good and generous. The property is charming, very well maintained, with beautiful large gardens. This was a perfect place to stay, and I highly recommend it.
