Cosy and as advertised. it was clean and well furnished with everything you could possibly need for a stay. Easy to locate, and a great base for exploring the surrounding area. Great for stargazing and just to disconnect and relax in a quiet place. Everything seems handcrafted which is very twee and nice in this day and age.

Shepherd's Loch Glamping is such a unique space to spend time unwinding and relaxing. All of the cabins are well built and very interesting, with solar power, gas stoves and well-appointed bathrooms and bedrooms. The staff are very accommodating and helpful and the room was very clean and well appointed. We did a little fishing at one of the ponds, visited the little shop for supplies on site and borrowed a book from the community center. A pair of pheasants were living around our cabin, and put on a show each morning for us. Thanks for a great stay!

This place was an absolute wee gem to find. Mary and James couldn't be more hospitable and made us feel very welcome in their beautiful home. Douneside House is located in Tarland, 50km from Aberdeen. Douneside House features views of the countryside and complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. The property was beautiful including the grounds which were an incredible view. Food and bar was outstanding as was the service. It’s definitely out of the way to get to but well worth it.

The host is very accommodating and knowledgeable. The layout of the coach house is fabulous. The kitchen is very well equipped and easy to work in. It has more than you need for a stay and surpasses all other similarly priced properties by a mile. I’m struggling to say anything negative. I would recommend it as the place to stay whilst in the area.
