Overlooking Loch Feochan with panoramic views of rugged mountains and tranquil islands, Knipoch House Hotel is just a short drive from Oban, the seafood capital of Scotland and a gateway to the Isles.... Lovely 4 star hotel with sea views just 15 minutes from Oban. Very friendly local staff who gave lots of advice about the local area and wildlife. The rooms are quite large and comfortable with Scottish interiors and renovations finished in 2024. There are 2 lounge areas with a wood fire for use also in the day time. Breakfast was served at the table on the breakfast room (extra cost). The restaurant food was very high quality and good value with the same menu for lunch or dinner. Well located for walks and visits with the possibility of seeing wildlife although you would be best with a car. Highly recommended I would love to go back in any season !

Catherine was an amazing host on arrival, also great communication before arriving, lodge was beautiful decorated and immaculate, very well equipped with everything you would need, bed also comfortable, hot tub is an added bonus great to relax and admire the gorgeous views over this little piece of paradise, kintyre is certainly a beautiful place, we enjoyed our visit to gin distillery and gigha also Westport beach and Southend beach are all definitely worth a visit, also it was lambing time on the farm was lovely to see all the new born lambs.

Melfort Village is set in a lochside location, 24 km from Oban. Furnace is 23 km away. The units include a dining/seating area with a satellite flat-screen TV. We had a fabulous 5 night stay at Melfort village. The accommodation was very well equipped and they even offer extra equipment such as slow cookers. It's quiet and in a beautiful location. They called us the week before to make sure we brought everything we needed with us as the nearest supermarket is 30 minutes away in Oban. We also booked massages for our last day - highly recommended! I would recommend Melfort Village for a quiet, secluded, self catering break.

Offering a restaurant, 24-hours room service and a spa, Isle of Eriska Hotel Spa & Island is set in 300 acres of lush landscapes in Oban. Lovely spa facilities, so relaxing and very well maintained spa. I had a massage which was fantastic. The therapist was lovely and friendly. The gentleman at the spa reception also explained everything so well and made sure we had everything we needed. We had booked a cottage with a hot tub too which was excellent. The food in the restaurant was absolutely phenomenal and cooked to perfection. We were also offered some complimentary champagne on arrival as it was a special occasion which was much appreciated. It was a nice touch. The staff were so attentive.

These brand new pods are beautifully crafted and have a lot of nice touches like an espresso machine and bath robes for use in the sauna and hot tub. The staff were nothing short of amazing, attentive to every need. We would definitely stay again.
