There are many kitchen utensils you can use and you don't need to use air conditioner since it is generally windy and cool inside. The owner of the house is an amazing person and he is always there to help you. He accepted early check in and late check out because of our ferry. He saved our day with his kindness. You can reach easily to Kokkari, Karlovasi, etc by your own car since the house is like in the middle of a junction point.

The villa is in a very nice setting and the sea view from the flat and the three terraces is beautiful. The rented part of the villa has two floors and there is air-conditioning in the living room downstairs and in one of the bedrooms upstairs. The rest of the bedrooms have fans. In the summer, the hosts live on the ground floor below the rented part but they move up for the winter. Reaching the villa is easy from the Samos-Karlovasi road (the word WELCOME is painted at the beginning of the approach) but the approach is very steep and it is best to have either a short car or a jeep. Long cars may have some trouble negotiating the tight curves and the incline. The kitchen is well equipped and we got some juice, water, butter and olive oil from our host for our first breakfast. While we used our rental car most days, we did walk to the nearby village of Agios Konstantinos on our last night which took just over 10 minutes by foot. There are 3 restaurants that we used here: Balkoni, Aiolos and Fergatos. All were good but don't try the first two withour reservation in the summer, especially not on Saturday night! We also visited the taverna in Ampelos (the mountain village above the villa) twice as we liked it very much. A small store is available in Agios Konstantinos but on our first day we went shopping to one of the bigger stores in Karlovasi. For beaches, we used Kokkari, Psili Ammos on the south-eastern tip of the island and nearby Tsabou. This was very nice but we had big waves. There are many other beaches but we didn't have time to see them. The island is pretty small and in 40 minutes you can get to almost everywhere from this villa by car. The kids liked the dogs and the kittens. On a clear day, Turkey is visable and there are millions of stars in the sky. The nights were unexpectedly quiet!

They answered all our questions and they gave us special gifts (fresh eggs, wine, fruits) and also gave us car rides because we didnt have our own car. The place had everything you need and the view and the pool were amazing :) Would HIGHLY recommend to stay in Heavens Door if you come to Samos! You can stay here without a car but keep in mind that there are big hills! The apartment was around 20min walk from the city center. There is also a sportsfield close to the apartment if you want to workout during your stay :) Taxi ride to airport is around 28€ and takes about 30 minutes. Located within walking distance from Vathy harbour and the traditional village of Ano Vathy, Grand View Villas is a complex of fully equipped houses with views over the Aegean Sea. The property was big and comfortable, also very clean. Sofa bed was also comfortable. It has a great view and close to all attractions. Drive was 10-20min to everywhere. There is a nice pool area. Also very clean. The owner was very nice. He showed us all the house and made recommendations regarding attractions and restaurants. Also very helpful with early checkin and late checkout.
