It’s paradise, not in a five star showy kind of way but in a wholesome, immersed in nature kind of way. I’ll miss the lovingly prepared breakfast overlooking the spectacular lake and mountain views and the luscious gardens set with a solar panel for the pool and veg garden for the organically homegrown food. The sweet staff make the place too. It’s off the beaten track in a non touristy part but that’s core to its charm.

Offering an outdoor pool and a hydro-massage hot tub, Tzampoc Resort is located in Santa Catarina Palopó. Just an incredible experience. I could not ask for more, most beautiful surroundings/views, great breakfast and relaxed atmosphere by the pool with refreshing drinks made by the bar staff

Atitlan Sunset Lodge Apartments are located on the shores of Lake Atitlan in Santa Cruz La Laguna and boast excellent volcano views. Free Wi-Fi and kayak use are provided at this property. The best review I can give this place is this- I had such a bad stomach infection coming from Mexico that there seemed no conceivable way I could possibly enjoy this place. I was on such strong antibiotics So the fact that I loved it, and was looked after and everything was so beautiful is a real credit to the place It’s easy to love somewhere when you feel good. I felt TERRIBLE and this place felt like a sanctuary to recover in, in the most beautiful setting

The location was amazing, literally right off of the main street with a ton of restaurants and things to do right on your doorstep. The room was bigger and better than I expected, it was clean and very comfortable! There was plenty of amenities and the room came with a fridge, flatscreen TV, air conditioning, amazing shower and plenty of outlets. The room had a great view out over the lake and had a door straight out onto a patio with seating and a hammock, on the roof was a hot tub and more seating. The staff were amazing and very helpful, they do laundry too and its very affordable! Maya was our host and she was incredible but all the staff i spoke to were amazing! Would definitely stay again!! :D

Set on Guatemala’s Atitlán Lake, Eco Hotel Uxlabil Atitlán has a private jetty and offers free kayak use. All rooms have a balcony with lake views and breakfast is included. Amazing eco accommodation in the quiet part of Lake Atitlan - next to the San Juan village. It is 15mins by walking to San Pedro and 5min walking to San Juan. The rooms are sharing big common balcony from where you can quietly watch lake Atitlan, birds and nature around. You can also relax in big garden, which belongs to the hotel. We've booked hiking guide to Indian Nose via the hotel. Breakfast in the hotel was also amazing. Just count with longer waiting time (approx. 30mins until you are served and your food is reayy). Maybe more staff would make it quicker. We've stayed for 3 nights and it was one of highlights of our stay in Guatemala.

I don’t get the 7.7 rating of this hotel. We had an amazing experience here. Yes, there’s not AC but it gets chilly at night so we didn’t need it. The view was amazing, the food was great too. I recommend the stay here.
