This is likely one of the most beautiful places to stay in Peten, the hotel has incredible views of lake Peten Itza at pretty much every corner. A cool funicular that will take you to the a small dock on the lower part, where you will be able to jump in the lake and continue to admire the scenery. To that you can add really nice food at the restaurant that has enough variety to not taste the same food on a week long trip. But, the best thing about this place is it’s amazing staff, they are so welcoming and friendly, they will treat you like family. They gave us a lot of tips about where to go and how to get there, they always welcomed us back with a smile, a cold towel and a clean room.

Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Bolontiku Boutique Hotel Member of the Cayuga Collection is located 15 minutes by boat from Flores Island. Incredible hotel on the lake with stunning views, facilities, and lovely staff. We’re a British couple in our late 20s and it’s one of our favourite hotels that we’ve ever stayed in. There is a shuttle boat that runs from the hotel to Flores island which is a pretty cool mode of transport. Few things we particularly liked: - The staff are accommodating offering great excursions (Tikal was the tour we did and enjoyed) and were very welcoming, particularly given our Spanish was very poor - the food at the hotel is really good, nice touch preparing the breakfast boxes too when we had early departures from the hotel - good drinks options too (beers and cocktails the highlight from our side, wine was expensive but that’s to be expected) - there are kayaks and pedalos free to use too which were a nice touch. - the room is stunning with beautiful views, good TV, impressive bathroom

Offering a sun terrace with swimming pool, views of the Exequil Lagoon, a heliport and wooden décor, this boutique hotel is 10 minutes’ drive from the Mundo Maya International Airport. The serenity, the views, the staff, the food, the wildlife, the Mariolas (!!!!). Not to mention the tastefully done casitas with the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in.

This charming hotel is located in northern Guatemala’s Petén Jungle, on the shores of Lake Petén. It offers fantastic trips to the Mayan Ruins of the Tikal National Park. I have an autistic boy who enjoys seeing the sunset at Peten Itza Lake. I'm really thankful to all the staff who made my son's dream of having a campfire near the lake while enjoying the sunset. Thank you to Martin, Don Hector, Kevin, and all staff for their assistance throughout our stay in the hotel.

I enjoyed yoga in the morning and it was great to book all kinds of trips to Tikal and other interesting locations. So, all in one place for leisure and fun! 😊 Nice dorms and in the late hours it gets quiet so it's all good.

Set on the edge of Lake Peten Itza, facing Flores Island, Hotel Casona del Lago offers an outdoor pool and hot tub. It also features free Wi-Fi and free parking. The staff was very helpful, the food excellent The view to the lake was the best. Super clean and spacious rooms.. i want to go back it was the best decision.

Located on Flores Island, linked by road to the shore of Lake Peten Itza, Hotel Casona de La Isla offers an outdoor pool and hot tub. There is 24-hour reception and free Wi-Fi. The room had 3 queen beds and was very spacious. We fit my spouse, 2 daughters and father with plenty of room and did not feel crowded at all. The view from the balcony was very pretty. The included breakfast (for the 3 adults only) was delicious and traditional. They offered a shuttle to the airport and even though we had to get there a couple hours earlier, we appreciated the free ride and the driver was great! They also had a bar with great views and the entire hotel was very clean. If we are lucky to return to this area again, we will definitely stay here.
