It is really close to the forest and has a great, very naturalistic atmosphere. The staff is very kind and friendly. The wellness part is smaller but enough to have some relax. The breakfast has a pretty good selection even though the hotel itself is smaller. They could prepare the room earlier than the actual check in (for an extra charge).

We stayed at Csenger Vendégházak from July 16th to 18th, 2025, and it was a truly delightful experience. The property was beautifully maintained, cozy, and full of charm. The location was excellent—peaceful, yet close to nearby attractions. Our host, Mr. Chris, was incredibly helpful, attentive, and kind. He made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit, and his warm hospitality added a personal touch that made us feel genuinely welcome. I highly recommend Csenger Vendégházak to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable getaway. I’d love to return someday!

The 4-star Avar Hotel was built in 2020 and it is located at the foot of the Mátra mountain. It offers garden, wellness center, 24-hour front desk, room service and luggage storage. Spa&wellness is perfect. Dinner is way above the expectation (burgundi marhaszelet was michlen level). Massage is a thing you want to test here.

4 Évszak Hegyihotel encontra-se em Mátraháza, a 47 km de Termas de Egerszalók, e apresenta acomodações com um centro de fitness, estacionamento privado gratuito, um jardim e um salão partilhado. They changed us to another hotel so close to that one because they had a problem on it, but the new one was even better! Everything was so luxurious, they had even a jacuzzi and a sauna. We went to ski but it was no snow, so we stayed a lot of time in the hotel enjoying it. Personal was also very nice! It was such a lovely place. :)

Selfness Hotel Vadvirág Mátraszentimre situa-se em Mátraszentimre e dispõe de um bar. I can feel staff are trying to helpl and really friendly but they dont speak english which makes complicated in communication. Like i dont know what is included and what is charged even though i can feel they are honest but just i dont understand what was charged. Also i left message no need for dinner in room on my arrival day, i guess they are nice or dont understand my message, they still put dinner in my room and was wasted. I appreciate the gesture, but just check the message and that is not neccessary. No harsh feeling, just totally can be avoid misunderstanding

Hotel Ózon & Luxury Villas is a 4-star superior hotel set in the Mátra mountain range, surrounded by the Mátra National Preserve. Excellent management,staff. It is the perfect place to charge batteries.
