We had the best breakfast of our entire trip. There were so many options, and they offered a great variety of local dishes — it was like a food museum for us! We wanted to try everything. It would be even better if they could add English names for each dish.

Located in the heart of Surabaya, a 3-minute walk to Tunjungan Plaza, Hotel Majapahit Surabaya MGallery offers rooms with a marble and gold plated bathroom. Whoever has any sense for the impact of history on our current world will love this hotel. It is beautiful, well led, and also a living reminder of the complex shadow of the "long 19th Century" (including of its dubious features like colonialism). It was also the location of one of the most famous incidents (the "flag incident") on Indonesia's path to independency, so you will literally have a comfortable room in the middle of historical reminders. Its tranquil and lush gardens surrounded by the majestic hotel wings - and the occasional flying fox gliding through the vast open hotel corridors at night - have immense beauty. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there, also thanks to the very friendly personnel. Several nights before I had a room in another high-class hotel down the same street on the 20th floor, but the noise from Surabaya's busy streets there was considerable, whereas in the Majapahit it was comfortably quiet at night. I hope that this amazing hotel and historical monument will be kept as well as it is right now for a long future, and I will happily stay there again next time in Surabaya.

We liked the spacious, brightly-lit space. The area was generally clean, and is a nice oasis in the middle of a very busy section of the city. The ground floor reception looks really grand, and security is good which provides safety. There is a very large living/dining area which is great for families. If you are driving, it would also be easy to park here.

We had an unforgettable 10 days at Jessy’s Homestay! The food was absolutely fantastic – every meal freshly prepared with so much love and flavor. The entire place is super clean; our room was cleaned daily, the bed made fresh every morning, and we even got new towels every day – just amazing! The indoor pool is beautiful and perfect for relaxing after a day out. Paul and Sri, their daughter Jessie, and the whole staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. They made us feel like part of their family from day one. The surfing at the near by beach is hard to beat. Getting to the beach is just a 2min walk. Leaving after 10 wonderful days was really hard – thank you all for this amazing time. We’ll definitely come back one day! ❤️🌴

I arrived with my family and got a very good and comfortable room and service. like coming home to a luxurious but very warm atmosphere. Staff were so pleasant that interactions were memorable. Room was fantastic. Breakfast quality and facilities were great. All in all the hotel is amazing value for money.
