They looked after me from the moment they met me and treated me like family. I even played cricket with his sons ! The trekking that they suggested in Naranag was unbelievable! Views of the Himalayas and the guide Aslam and his family who I stayed 2 nights with were wonderful people. If you are coming to Kashmir, wild rose in srinagar is where you want to stay.

We liked everything about our stay on this houseboat on Dal Lake. It is in a perfect location with awesome views of the lake, the room was spacious and the amenities including the terrace for eating breakfast and relaxing were fantastic. The owner Altaf and his sons were amazingly friendly and helpful, organising our taxi from the airport, their Shikara boat trip around the lake, and a great value all-day Tuk tuk trip to the Mughal gardens, mosque and the Fort. Everything is suburb value and you probably can't do better than this. We highly recommend it.
