Breakfast was really nice, with good options on the buffet but also the chef cooking fresh eggs and omelette!

Spectacular drive over the mountain pass and through the fjord to reach the cottage. Helpful and friendly host.

These holiday homes all offer a private terrace with barbecue facilities, in addition to a well-equipped kitchenette with free coffee and tea. Egilsstadir town centre is a 8-minute drive away. We loved the cabin and its surroundings. It's secluded enough to feel isolated, yet a five-minute drive from the grocery store, gas station, etc. It was clean and all the appliances were in perfect working order. We cooked dinner and enjoyed the quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. Very friendly and helpfull staff, beautifull surroundings, black beach near, the valley with river and waterfalls, mountains with lots of hiking possibilities, horse riding tours ranch near..perfect:)

We loved our stay in this Guesthouse a lot. We stayed only one night but would love to stay longer. The area is very quiet and the room we stayed in had a spectacular view (we were lucky to watch the best Aurora from our bed 😀).The breakfast was delicious with a good coffee as well. We really recommend to stay here.
