Featuring a restaurant and cafe on site, Blabjorg Resort is in the fishing village of Borgarfjordur Eystri, 71 km from Egilsstadir. The property is really nice entirely. The living room of the apartament is big and has all the necessary amenities. The staff is so nice and eager to help, they were all smiles and we loved that. There was a breakfast included which we also loved, it had plenty of good stuff and we loved that some of the items were homemade, not the usual supermarket stuff. It was a great place to stop for a night on our way to the north.

Set along the Seydisfjordur Fjord, these cottages are less than 3 km from the town of Seydisfjorudur. Each offers impressive panoramic views and a large terrace with an outdoor hot tub and BBQ. Beautiful place! Jacuzzi with a great view. The house is very comfortable, has all the necessary things in the kitchen. The owners are very nice. I recommend!

These holiday homes all offer a private terrace with barbecue facilities, in addition to a well-equipped kitchenette with free coffee and tea. Egilsstadir town centre is a 8-minute drive away. Fabulous cabin. So well stocked ( yoga mat for me, coffee machine for husband). Everything has been thought of to ensure your comfort. Host came to greet us personally ( a first for me and I’ve booked many places like this) and came to check everything was fine a couple days into our trip. Sauna and hot tub amazing. No where can be more highly recommended.

Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. Very kind staff, clean and comfortable room. Best breakfast we ate at Iceland.

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. Very cozy cabin! Also, the personnel was lovely and super kind!
