Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodation 5 km from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar. The surroundings are just magical. Staff is really kind. Dinner and breakfast were really good. I very much recommend

Spectacular drive over the mountain pass and through the fjord to reach the cottage. Helpful and friendly host.

Laugarfell Accommodation & Hot Springs is located in the Eastern Highlands and is at the border of Vatnajökull National Park. Amazing location and great dinner and breakfast! The hot pools were so nice!

These holiday homes all offer a private terrace with barbecue facilities, in addition to a well-equipped kitchenette with free coffee and tea. Egilsstadir town centre is a 8-minute drive away. We loved the cabin and its surroundings. It's secluded enough to feel isolated, yet a five-minute drive from the grocery store, gas station, etc. It was clean and all the appliances were in perfect working order. We cooked dinner and enjoyed the quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

Set along the Seydisfjordur Fjord, these cottages are less than 3 km from the town of Seydisfjorudur. Each offers impressive panoramic views and a large terrace with an outdoor hot tub and BBQ. Amazing house which in real life is even bigger than at photos. Hosts are very hospitable and attentive. Views are truly wonderful because of its location.

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. Much better than expected. Fantastic room, people, breakfest. Yes, this is end of world - if you are interested in the place as really good end of world - it is good place. Dont tray to ask about casino or clubs and 17 restaurants. This is real old icelandic style for&with pragmatic and friendly people. One of my favourite.
