The room was comfortable and cozy. The lobby has a coffee/tea station with biscuits and fruit available almost 24/7, which was a nice touch. The breakfast is really good. There are two hot tubs open until 10 pm, perfect for relaxing. The hotel itself feels very warm and welcoming, and since it’s located in a darker area, we were even lucky enough to catch some northern lights right from there!

Every staff member we interacted with were wonderful, especially Adele at the front desk and Tomas in the restaurant. This hotel is top notch and we decided to book another stay here towards the end of our trip because we loved it so much! The dinner was fabulous! We enjoyed every part of it from the homemade bread to the delicious main courses to the incredible desserts!!

Everything, the way they keep the place clean, quality of the beds and dorms, they even have a hot tub and sauna which is awesome.

At the apartment complex, some units are soundproof. The location is great, having a great view of both the waterfall behind the property and the ocean while relaxing in the hot tub. The rooms are lovely with a large communal kitchen. If I could go back in time I'd have based more of my trip out of here. The rooms were much nicer than we expected based on the price and frankly it was a better night than the hotel twice the price down the road.

Executive suites feature a balcony with a private hot tub and a king size bed. Exceptional food at the restaurant, also breakfast. The staff was spectacular, the nicest people ever. Nice drinks at the bar. Everything was clean, great views everywhere. Quite small but nice spa with an amazing view.

The family-owned Hótel Lækur is set on an Icelandic horse farm, between the Golden Circle and the south coast. Hella is 10 minutes’ drive away. It offers a sun terrace and a guest lounge.

The bright, modern rooms feature wooden floors and private bathrooms. Some include either a terrace or balcony. The surrounding views take in the Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull volcanoes. Superb location, away from all the lights, roads and noise. Staff is super friendly and helpful Food in general, dinner and breakfast, was very nice and regional - which we appreciate a lot. The rooms are super cosy, spacious and clean. It offers everything you need. We would and will book again when back in Iceland, and we will recommend it to friends, since we really experienced a great time there!

It offers horse riding during the summer season, traditional cooking and a geothermal outdoor hot tub. Everything… having cows as eating companions was soooo entertaining. Beautiful location, great food, comfortable rooms, warm welcome…. And the ice cream!
